Owner Surrender Options

One of the most important parts of being a responsible horse owner is, if you cannot keep your horse you ensure that your horse has a safe future.

Giving your horse away for free on the Internet, or taking Horse to livestock auction is the fastest way for your horse to end up in the slaughter pipeline.

Here at For The Love of The Hoof we are committed to being a safety net for horses in transition. We help horses not only in Arizona, but across the United States!

Bringing horses into our organization does create a financial burden so we do ask for a surrender fee to help cover the expenses of bringing the horse into our shelter. We are able to take a limited number of horses into our shelter without a surrender fee each month for hardship cases.
